Millions of entrepreneurs rely on email campaigns to connect with audiences — seeking to convert prospects to users, convert users to paying customers, and upgrade customers to better-paying customers. In this crowded, competitive field, Seva has built a brand identity that focuses on “…helping creators earn a living online.” Seva says “A creator might be a blogger, author, maker, YouTuber, poet, painter, musician, podcaster, chef, designer, or teacher.” Regardless, this is the email marketing segment Seva has carved out for itself.
Why it’s the Logo of the Day
In Sanskrit, “seva” means “selfless service.” The company strives to maintain this vibe; the Seva logo look-and-feel reflects it. The roughly circular swash has a handmade feel and hints at an almost spiritual sense of connection. Yet the graphic is open-ended, differing from a more perfectly circular, classic Buddhist brush-stroke. The symbol is unique, like an artisan object, and easy to recognize.

Until mid-2018, Seva called itself ConvertKit. It had the same marketing focus, but the new name focuses on the human connection with the company’s customer base of “creators.” It’s not just cut-and-paste brand positioning: Seva walks the walk. For instance, the company produces a lot of free educational content for entrepreneur creators to help them earn a living online. (One example: a 47-page PDF primer on making videos to promote what you do.) Content like this helps Seva grow its customer list and retain its subscription base for the company’s email marketing programs and tools.
